A Comparative Study on the Use of Fraud in Perpetrating Sexual Offense

This lecture will be delivered by Professor Jianlin Chen, Associate Dean of Melbourne Law School. A distinguished expert in Asian Law, Professor Chen’s lecture will explore how fraudulent means are used to obtain consent in sexual offenses and how different Asian jurisdictions— China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand—approach the criminalization of such acts.
