SAFER Growth Attends Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Derivative Market Oversight and Regulatory Scheme Training
Members of the SAFER Growth program under the UP Law Center Institute of Government and Law Reform (UP IGLR) attended a workshop hosted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) entitled “Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Derivative Market Oversight and Regulatory Scheme Training – Discussions with Industry and Government Officials” on 15 August 2024 at the SEC Headquarters, Makati City.
The speaker, Mr. Kevin C. Piccoli, is currently the Deputy Director of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Office of International Affairs of the United States of America and generously shared his expertise on derivatives products, structures and regulations. Participants were able to interact with the speaker and present their queries during the open forum.
Representatives from various government agencies, including regulators and market operators, were also in attendance at the event.
