UP IGLR Participates in DICT’s Legislative Agenda for the 20th Congress Writeshop

The UP Law Center Institute of Government and Law Reform (UP IGLR) participated in the Writeshop on the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)’s Legislative Agenda for the 20th Congress on April 29, 2025, at Madison 101 Hotel, Quezon City.
To provide context and a refresher for the session, Atty. Kristine Sonon-Grospe of the UP IGLR delivered a comprehensive lecture on the legislative process. Her lecture covered key constitutional limitations, the process and procedure involved in drafting a bill, and its passage into law. This overview equipped the participants with a solid foundation of the necessary legal framework and processes to contribute relevant to the bills they would be developing at the workshop.
The Writeshop focused on the development of bills related to telecommunications, emerging technologies, and the digital economy—critical areas for the future of our nation’s progress.
At UP IGLR, we remain committed to supporting the crafting of impactful bills and empowering government agencies with the knowledge and tools to drive meaningful reform and development.
